Mickey Rourke was axed from the Celebrity Big Brother house on Saturday after 'unacceptable behaviour' towards Chris Hughes proved one controversy too many.
But the Hollywood star, who also used a homophobic slur towards Jojo Siwa and brought Ella Rae Wise and Patsy Palmer to tears with rude remarks, was not the first person to be booted off the often explosive show.
From its very first season in 2000, aired on Channel 4, Big Brother has played host to mischievous contestants, including 'nasty' Nick Bateman who was disqualified from the opening series for 'manipulating the eviction process'.
Four years later, Emma Greenwood received her marching orders for organising the infamous Fight Night against Michelle Bass.
And in the 2017 celebrity version, actor Christopher Biggins was axed after fans objected to offensive comments he made about bisexual people.
But who else has been asked to leave the famous house over the years?

Nick Bateman, series 1 (2000)
The original reality villain, 'Nasty' Nick was famously left out of a post-show party thrown by George Michael, after he compared gay sex to paedophilia.
It was not these views that got the stockbroker, then 32, kicked out of the house, but rather his Machiavellian manipulation of the voting process.
He smuggled in a pen and paper and handed notes around to encourage his fellow contestants to vote in a certain way ahead of each eviction.
After The Sun ran a 'kick out Nick' campaign and even tried to drop leaflets into the camp to alert his housemates to the chicanery, he was eventually ejected from the house after 34 days.
He recently told The Telegraph: 'It seems extreme now. People have done far worse since I was on and they haven’t quite had the question mark thrown over them.
'But it grabbed the imagination of the audience. They realised that watching other people can be quite interesting.'

Emma Greenwood, series 5 (2004)
Emma appeared on series five of the regular show, a season legendary for its wild cast members and relentless drama.
Above all, though, it was known for the appalling saga which was Fight Night - an almighty scrap involving numerous housemates and instigated by Emma.
She was immediately removed by security for 'violent behaviour' and made to stay alone in the bedsit nextdoor.
When she was finally kicked off the show, Emma became the first person to ever have been removed for breaking the physical violence rule, but she remained a familiar face to Big Brother fans who watched her analyse the show on Richard & Judy.

Kitten Pinder, series 5 (2004)
During the same fraught season of the show, Kitten managed to get herself booted off within the opening week.
It's difficult to know where to start with the notorious hell-raiser but she notably refused to play Big Brother's games, leading fellow contestants to the mini bar instead.
After three formal strikes against her, she was called out on a surprise eviction but refused to leave quietly, with others rallying around her until she was physically taken out.
Kitten, real name Kathryn, then appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court over failing to pay a string of parking fees just days after her axe, The Sun reports.
And her father later told The Independent that Big Brother should be 'banned'.

Dawn Blake, series 7 (2006)
Dawn allegedly received messages from the outside world saying she wasn't doing great, in a massive breach of Big Brother rules.
She was caught telling fellow housemates that she was refusing to shower because producers had withheld her suitcase when she arrived in the property.
This led fellow contestants to make disparaging remarks about her body odour, before bosses discovered her contact with friends and family and gave her the booted.
Following her removal, she went on hunger strike in a bid to force Big Brother to hand over unedited footage, claiming that she had been forced to stay in the house against her will.
Dawn also claimed the show had been edited to 'humiliate and misrepresent her', claims both Channel 4 and Ofcom rejected.

Emily Parr, series 8 (2007)
Emily, then 19, was kicked out of the iconic house for using a racial slur towards Charley Uchea within hours of entering.
After her fellow contestant said she looked pregnant, Emily replied: 'Are you pushing it out, you n***er?'
The ejected guest later admitted she should have been 'more careful with her words'.
But viewers complained about the incident in their droves, some slamming Channel 4's decision to air the slur, with others suggesting Emily should not have been kicked out.

Dennis McHugh, series 9 (2008)
Dennis was immediately thrown out on day 23 of season nine after spitting on housemate Mohamed Mohamed's face during a very heated argument, leaving the victim in tears.
It all started with an argument between two fellow contestants over a painting, which led Dennis to shout 'f**k you' towards Mohamed numerous times.
After his eviction, Dennis fled to his Edinburgh home before being cleared of common assault by Hertfordshire Police.
He later told the Mirror: 'I'm ashamed of what I did and I totally regret it. I am sorry for what happened.'

Daley Ojuederie, series 14 (2013)
In one of the most uncomfortable moments on the show, Daley was booted out to his 'threatening and aggressive behaviour' towards Hazel O'Sullivan, with whom he had been having a close relationship.
During a stint in the Safe House together, he slapped her on the backside, clasped her around her neck and pinned her to the bed with both arms.
He also said: 'Have some respect for your f**king elder, because if you don't, I'll finish you,' and, 'Don't f**k with me, do you understand? Before I nut you one.'
Daley reportedly already had a girlfriend of eight months when he entered the house and told bosses he would bring entertainment without 'getting it on with people'.

Jeremy Jackson, Celebrity series 15 (2014)
Baywatch star and singer Jeremy was removed from the house within days after he groped Chloe Goodman.
The actor, then 34, became intoxicated after downing a mixture of rum and vodka, before throwing up in the toilet.
While he was being comforted by model Chloe, Jeremy pulled open his fellow contestant's dressing gown.
His housemate said: 'He went to my dressing gown top and put my boob out.'
Jeremy was kicked out after spending one night in a separate area and in the aftermath he justified his actions as being borne out of 'innocence and curiosity'.
He later added: 'I made a mistake and now I'm in boiling water for it.'

Ken Morley, Celebrity series 15 (2014)
Coronation Street legend Ken received more than 200 Ofcom complaints and was axed after he repeatedly used the word 'n**ro'.
Ken told Loose Women that he had 'never been racist' but apologised for his remarks, which were made in chats with singer Alexander O'Neal amd Keith Chegwin.
Producers gave the actor an official warning, after he had also garnered criticism for inappropraite comments about female housemates.
He was then kicked out of the house after his behaviour showed no signs of changing.

Tila Tequila, Celebrity series 16 (2015)
American model Tila was removed from the house amid reports she'd posted controversial messages about Nazism on social media.
Complaints were made when it emerged Tila had uploaded a picture of her wearing a Nazi armband and hat in front of Auschwitz in 2013.
She branded Adolf Hitler 'a brilliant artist' who was 'ahead of his time' and claimed to be the dictator reincarnated.
Channel 5 bosses claimed they had no idea she held such views before she came on the show.

Aaron Frew, series 17 (2015)
Model Aaron was accused of 'inappropriate' behaviour for flashing his housemate Joel Williams, despite him asking him to stop.
He was also said to have been making unwanted sexually-charged advances at his fellow contestant.
During one episode of the show, the 24-year-old was seen shedding tears as Big Brother informed him that his two-week stint would be coming to an abrupt end.
He seemed to know that his removal was on the cards as he spoke with Big Brother, weeping as he said: 'I'm sorry. Oh my God, I can't believe it.. I really didn't mean to take it that far.
'I'm so sorry, that's all I can say... I'm so sorry Mum, and my friends. I can't describe how I feel... I can't believe my journey's ended like this. It's really meant so much to me. I'm really so upset.'

Andrew Tate, series 18 (2017)
Social media mogul Andrew - who has been on the receiving end of sexual trafficking allegations in recent years - was removed after The Sun disclosed a video of him hitting a woman with a belt, which he claimed was consensual.
The former kickboxing champion initially claimed the video had been edited to cut out laughter.
He added that he and the girl were 'friends' and that he had 'never hurt a girl in his life'.
During the saga, other controversial social media comments made by Andrew came to light, but Channel 5 insisted these did not play into their decision-making.

Emma Jensen, series 18 (2017)
Pop singer Emma faced the chop after repeatedly trying to break out of the house.
One broadcast of the Channel 5 show saw the brunette kicking a door down in a fit of rage after an argument with Jackson Blyton over a controversial shopping task.
‘Before you entered the house, the BB rules were explained to you clearly. You’ve broken out of the house AGAIN. As you seem to be unable to live by the rules of the house, you have forfeited your place in the house’, Big Brother told Emma.
Fighting back tears, the emotional star said: ‘Thank you for having me as a housemate. It’s been a life-changing experience and I’m really grateful.’

Christopher Biggins, Celebrity series 18 (2017)
Acting icon Christopher was booted out for being 'capable of causing widespread offence' thanks to remarks he made about bisexual people.
He had said: 'The worst type though is, I'm afraid to say, the bisexuals... what it is is people not wanting to admit they are gay.'
The star, then 67, was warned three times by Big Brother about the comments but later doubled down on his views by saying he believed Aids was a 'bisexual disease'.
After his removal from the house, Christopher said he was 'very sorry and very sad'.

Mickey Rourke, Celebrity series 24
Mickey was thrown out of the Celebrity Big Brother house this week after a bust-up with Love Island's Chris Hughes - who gave the star 'side eye' during a task.
The actor and former professional boxer, 72, has been difficult to manage from the beginning when he leered inappropriately at host AJ Odudu as he entered the house.
Things soon escalated as Mickey made homophobic comments towards JoJo Siwa, 21, before going on to offend Donna Preston, Ella Rae Wise and Patsy Palmer with rude conversations.
He was finally asked to leave due to 'threatening and aggressive behavior' directed toward Chris, dubbed the 'final straw' for producers.
The final outburst came after Chris threw him the 'side eye during the task', which saw the housemates dressed up as pirates
