Louise Hunt died in the towering blaze at her Gehan home, 150km west of Brisbane, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The couple's two children were found uninjured nearby and are understood to be staying with relatives.

A judge ruled at Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday Hunt would remain in custody until his next court appearance on July 16.

Magistrate Kyna Morice adjourned the case for three months to give police time to prepare a brief of evidence.

Firefighters were called to the giant blaze about 3am on Tuesday morning where they spent several hours combatting the flames.

Ms Hunt's body is believed to have been found in the ashes of the home, though a formal identification has not yet been made.
