Utah mom's chilling five word text to dad days before she 'had whiskey-fueled sex with husband then killed him'
A wealthy Utah mother accused of killing her husband after confessing an affair then having whiskey-fueled sex with him asked her dad for a huge loan days before.
Jennifer Gledhill, 42, was arrested last year for allegedly fatally shooting Utah National Guardsman Matthew Johnson, then 51, on September 21, 2024.
And now a newly-unsealed search warrant has revealed that her father Thomas Gledhill used Venmo to transfer $1,000 to the alleged killer's account on September 18, 2024.
Gledhill then messaged him saying 'I need 13K by Friday,' the legal document shows. It's not known why Gledhill needed the specific amount of money.
Police said Gledhill admitted to blasting the of her three children as he slept in their $1 million home in Cottonwood Heights, Salt Lake City, after admitting she had taken a lover.
Gledhill and Johnson, a Utah National Guardsman, had what appeared to be make-up sex. But no such rapprochement was on the horizon, with Johnson killed shortly after. His body still hasn't been found.
Her parents Thomas and Rosalie Gledhill have also been arrested for allegedly helping their daughter cover up the murder by deep-cleaning the home afterwards.
Despite alleged efforts to remove any signs of the bloody murder from the scene of the crime, gruesome evidence was unearthed in court last October.
Prosecutors showed images they say prove that Jennifer brutally killed Johnson as he slept, before dragging his lifeless body and the blood-soaked evidence out of their home.

The court saw images of blood stains on a carpet that was underneath the bed in the couple's bedroom, where detectives believe Matthew was killed. DNA analysis confirmed it was Matthew's blood, per prosecutors.
Prosecutors also exhibited a GPS tracking map showing that Jennifer traveled north the day after the alleged murder, on September 21, to a location where Matthew's red truck was found.
At the same location, police say they found a vehicle storage container floating in a creek. Investigators say the inside of the container tested positive for Matthew's blood, as reported by Fox 13.
An eerie snap of the couple's bedroom where the whiskey-fueled sex and subsequent murder took place was also shown in court.
GPS data also revealed that Jennifer traveled to another location in the same county where police found the couple's mattress and pillows wrapped up in a rug from the their home.
Prosecutors also showed the court a 2023 image they say shows Matthew by the same rug Jennifer dumped alongside the mattress.
Jennifer was allegedly having an affair with a man who told police she confessed to shooting Matthew. She allegedly said she put his body in a storage contained and then loaded it into her minivan.

Her apparent calls with her unidentified lover were shared at the bail hearing.
'Right before [Jennifer] reported Matthew missing, [her lover] recorded a phone call with the defendant,' prosecutors said.
'In the phone call, the [Jennifer] apologizes for telling [her lover] about what happened, she tells him to not think of her as a monster and to remember her who she was before she opened her mouth.'
Prosecutors then began quoting Jennifer verbatim, including references to Johnson in the past tense before he'd been reported missing.
'I think that the fact that you got scared of me, that part like broke my heart because I was like "wow if you think I could even heard a fly," she said.
'Like he just, he is, he's not a person. He wasn't a person anymore he wasn't Matt anymore.'
But far more chilling words were to follow, the hearing was told.
Jennifer's secret lover, whose name has never been shared, told her that he was frightened by what she confessed.
He asked how she would feel if the roles were reversed, which she responded, 'not if I deserved it.'

Johnson's remains have yet to be found, and Gledhill pleaded not guilty to the charges

'I always preach that I was like the queen of hearts in my past lives because I'm like "Off With Their Heads.",' Jennifer is then said to have bragged.
'I'm like if we could just round up the scum of this Earth and put them on an island or just kill them all I could shipshape this country back into a good place,' Gledhill said.
He is said to have been shot dead as he slept and his body has never been found.
Attorneys for Jennifer, who denied murder at a hearing last month, claim the newly-released phone calls were taken out of context.
Matthew was reported missing on September 23.
Jennifer's parents Thomas and Rosalie Gledhill have also been charged in the murder.
Police revealed that witnesses saw them cleaning her house for five hours following the alleged murder.
Jennifer's mother was even suspected of buying a new mattress for her daughter to replace the one Johnson is said to have bled out over after being shot dead.

Jennifer was arrested after her unnamed lover told police that she'd told him about killing her husband.
In a police interview after her October 3 arrest, she claimed to have separated from Matthew - only to spend the evening of September 20 talking and drinking liquor with him.
She said they then had sex that night, and 'informed (the officer) due to the intoxication from the whiskey she had a hard time recalling the events that took place after her and Matthew had sex', the search warrant said.
Jennifer said Matthew 'became upset' during their evening together, but could not recall why.
Her unnamed lover told police Matthew was upset at discovering his wife had been cheating on him.
The man contacted police after Jennifer allegedly confessed to the murder, which led to her arrest.
